We have verified with the Secretary of State that our Petitions in Lieu of
Filing Fee requirement has been satisfied. Our Ballot Designation Worksheet is
completed and we have formulated our (Draft) Candidate's Statement of
Qualifications which can be seen at

Our little homemade website continues to be active. We are driving activity to
the site by sending out emails to the email addresses we got from the VRO and
from comments we make to the online newspaper articles. (we make a very common
sense comment and include our website www.uipusa.com) We continue to send out
post cards weekly. This is the fun part because the Ds & Rs are giving us soooo
much fun material... e.g. "Congress justifies giving themselves pay increases
by denying Social Security increases to our Senior Citizens on Social Security!"

We are setting up a Telephone Voice Broadcasting System by Voicent using Skkpe.
The system works well but we are having trouble producing a high quality
message...too much white noise.

Next week we file our Declaration of Candidacy and begin looking for volunteers.
